Picked up a used “Warren Wench.

“Worked when parked” according to the seller.

The controller that came with it is not Warn and after hooking it up it did not work.

I then tried the controller from my 40 which is the same old 4 pin. Nothing

I busted out the PowerProbe and it worked just fine.

I’ll source a new controller and plug and it should be good to go.

Now that I know it works I’ll clean it up a bit and mount it up next week.

Get newer springs? Maybe from a different year LC?

Bend arms a tad more?

There’s a Volkswagen hack for replacement arms, they are still available new or I’ve had luck on my Sequoia rear arms dropping some penetrating oil into the rivets and work them till they loosen up.

These??

@Mace you have a bug. What say?

Bug arms would likely work, but they are fairly flimsy. Want me to get some pics and specs?

I bought some recently from Toyota. ~$30 or so?

Got home from work and had a header and Remflex on the porch.

I fired up the paint booth and tore into the manifolds

One thing that is guaranteed when installing a header is you will scratch the s*** out of it test fitting a figuring out the angle to install

Made Some 1/2 washers to get a good snug for tomorrow. Hope to get it all in and a temporary exhaust rigged up so I can make sure it’s leak free.

I will look up the part numbers when I get to work. I bought some for a 1970 FJ40 that was at the shop. Should be the same, overhead wipers.

Yeah a bit of confusion about need for wiper arms, not wiper blades, lol. I got these for my ‘63 absent any originals (TNK), but they‘re not mounted yet and therefore I have no info if they’ll be effective (enough for the environment I’m in which I suspect is a lot different than Mississippi).

Those look perfect and the price is right. I’ll let you know if they are going to work ...ordered.
