i have a 38 dgas on my 60 and was wondering if any one has a diagram of the parts in it. Im tuning it (ot i think i am) and all i have found is the 2 needles (screws on the side that cut or in crease the fuel.) was wondering if there was a mixture screw or any other parts that could help (when adjusted) my motor run a little better.

I am also going to put a performance distributor on soon and am wondering what is the best price/ quality one out there.? Peace Mike

I would stay with the original distributor. Its a good dist and you dont have to mess with anything.

There isnt much inside a Weber, just the float and some jets. Most the the tuning a Weber comes from getting the right jets and making sure the float is at the right level.

I love my 38/38, been easy to deal with after my factory carb took a dump.

There is a Weber manual from Haynes IIRC. Great book, only one chapter dedicated to the 38/38 but its enough.
