I know there are lots of people here that recommend weathertech, and I've always had great luck with them in other vehicles. However, I've had nothing but problems with their products in my Land Cruiser.

Before I go any further: Let me say that Weathertech has been great at working with me and replacing the mats so far.

I bought a set of weathertech all-weather mats in August 2010. Within 5-6 months, a hole formed in the mats where my heel sits. It's as if my heel sits on the part that's supposed to hold water, instead of the thicker portion. I wear a size 12-13 shoe (depending on the brand).

Weathertech replaced my first set with another set of all-weather mats. Within 5-6 months, I had the same issue with the second set.

I called back around 8 months after receiving second set, and the Weathertech representative and I agreed that it would be pointless to send another set of the all-weather version. I agreed to pay the difference between the all weather mats to upgrade to the digital fit. I would have preferred a free upgrade, but I still felt this was fair.

My buddy has a set of the digital fit mats in his Tacoma and they are great. Thick, lay perfectly flat. Everything you would expect.

I received the mats, and felt they were much more flimsy than his. After a few months, they do not stay put, and they are rolling up.

Has anyone else had issues like this with weathertechs 100 series mats? I'm totally disappointed in these products.

This has me worried....I just ordered a set of digital fit mats.

While i don't have them in mine, in a lot of buddies trucks and such that have those "digital fit" mats, they all looked like that after a little while.

My 100 arrived with some rubber factory Mats that say "Land Cruiser".

They are awesome. :)

I ran Husky Liners in an Acura Mdx, 80 series, and a 3rd gen 4Runner..... If I didn't have the factory mats I would run these in my 100.

I know a lot of people who use the weathertech digital fit. I haven't seen them do what it's doing in that last picture. I have the digital fit as well and I've never had problems and they stay put. It's been in the truck for about 10 months now. I am worried about the hole made by the heel in the future. I"m going to probably glue a piece of rubber where the heel is to prevent this. this happened on my old weathertech floor mats. Nothing so far on the digital fit. I really like them.

I also have had the digital fit mats in my 100 for 2+ years. They still look great (but dirty). No curling whatsoever.

I have the black DigitalFit mats in mine (~2 years old) and other than being dirty (ie Doing their job), they are in excellent condition.

I can't imagine how curling like that is even possible with these mats... especially not in a matter of months.

i have weather tech digital fit front and rear. they work great and see a ton of abuse.

try not dragging your feet when you get in.

I wear through in heal area also. When it gets thin, I pour a round pad of clear epoxy. No more wear. I've run the heavy rubber weathertechs for 20 years and it's always the heal area that wears first.

Hmm, anyone know if the recently moved their production or anything like that.

At work we've noticed that rubber plumbing fittings from China smell quite different from identical made in USA rubber parts...

I love the standard weather techs in my tacoma, have about 70kmi on them no visible wear.

Digital Fit here in my LC and RX330, 2yrs and 7yrs respectively. No issues with either. Love these things and recommend them to everyone I know.
AimCOtaco may be on to something. Change in factory lines or production locations? Hopefully this isn't a trend for them.

Try the Lund Catch-All Extremes. I too have size 12 - 13 and mine look great after a year.

Lund website says not available for 1999 Land Cruiser. No 2004 Land Cruiser either.:meh:

Looks like kids used them for snow sleds! Ever considered Husky mats?

5 1/2 years and my digital fit mats still look new.

My feet don't touch that side of the mat at all, no dragging of feet when I get in. That's why I'm so confused by this.

On the all weathers, the heel area should wear first. However, the heel area should also be made of the thicker part of the rubber, not the hollow ridges for water collection.

Thanks for all the suggestions/support. I'm going to call Weathertech tomorrow and see what they say. I'd almost prefer a refund and give the huskies a shot at this point.
