I need a little help with my 94 22re.Yes I need to buy a fsm, unfortunately my only manual right now is a Chiltons which lists waterpump torque as 27 ft lbs. I just snapped a stud. Is there a chance that the manual is listing the wrong torque specs? Does anybody know what they are?

Thanks, I have also found the same specs for a v6. The book i have lists the same spec for both the 22re and the 3fe motor, seems a little suspicious.

Curran,
Thanks for the link, For all its worth the correct torque for the water pump bolts (22re) is 9 ft lbs. Much less than 27 ft lbs that chiltons specified. Yup another reason to get a FSM (or at least look it up up online). Now i get to go look for a heli coil kit or some taps and dies.
