Water Temp Sensor Adapter Size (1 Viewer)

I want to add an aftermarket water temp gauge but I'm not sure what size adapter to order. I don't have access to my vehicle right now so I can't measure the upper coolant hose I plan to splice into (near the tstat). Options I have: 28mm, 30mm, 32mm, 34mm, 38mm. Anyone know the diameter of that upper hose?

I just measured them and they were between 1-3/8ths and 1.5 inches ID. +1/4" for OD The one in the middle was closer to 1-3/8ths, and the other two are right at 1.5, +/- a smidge.
edit: These are small-end, actual hose-size (not expanded) measurements.
