Time to bring this thread back to life! I've got a family trip coming up. One thing that we're always bad at is staying hydrated during the trip. I don't want to keep stopping to buy more water and setting back a 15 hour trip to 18 hours. I was thinking about setting up a portable water solution in the 200. There are three of us, with my son in a car seat behind the passenger. I was thinking about grabbing a 5 gallon water bottle (like you can get refilled at Walmart or grocery store) and placing it on the seat behind the driver. Then getting one of
these and using some ratcheting straps to cinch it down by the nylon handles to the baby seat hooks in the car seat. Then, wrap another strap around the top and hook it to the other baby seat strap down point on the back of the driver's side passenger seat. Then to get water out, use one of these
rechargeable pumps.
Is this just asking for trouble? Is there a better way that wasn't covered in this thread that is readily available in 2.5 weeks? I'd love to hear other thoughts. Thanks!
