Hi

I have 2 gaskets, I know where the small one goes, what about the big one does it go fist to the engine block or on top of the small or I do not need one of them
what is the call?

The one on the left is the water pump gasket for a 1FZ-FE engine.

The one on the right is for a 2F engine water pump.

So you have 2 different water pump gaskets.

You need to figure out what vehicle and engine you are working on and use the correct gasket.

Assuming these are the ones that come with the water pump, I don't think you want to use either. Get a gasket for your engine through Toyota dealer. I am told the OEM gaskets from Toyota are superior to the WP supplied ones. I never used the accompanying WP gaskets so not sure how good/bad they actually are. I got an OEM gasket for mine which worked great. The ones included in the WP box were thrown in the bin. HTH.

No FJ80 both are for FJ60 , the larger one goes inside the pump, unscrew 3 Philips screws and that where it goes, the smaller goes between the pump and the block, they both cames with ASIN water pump.

Where did you get your pump from? Pretty sure you shouldn't need to open it up if using the AISIN pump. They should come with the internal gasket already in place. But again I wouldn't use either. Get an OEM gasket and don't use the AISIN supplied one. Sounds like you have already moved on however so hopefully works out. GL and HTH.

yes, I was confused with the second gasket, so I dod open the pump and saw the identical one I did install new as the seal was crushed, why use OEM ? I used gasket maker on both sides is ASIN no good?

For my HJ60 I got the same luxury problem, definitely not easy for me to decide to not use a new part o_O

HJ60 thermostat 16341-68010 gasket thermostat upper 0.8mm
O-ring has no place:

Aisin pump is good. OEM manufacturer for the OEM WP. Just the OEM gaskets are better. I used OEM when I did this so I have no experience with the AISIN pump to block gaskets. I didn't want to redo this work when I did mine so I didn't take any chances with the AISIN gaskets and went for OEM based on mud recommendations at the time. The built in AISIN gasket that was shipped installed from AISIN is working for me just fine so I imagine the pump to block gasket from AISIN would work fine also. Just heard of folks having issues with them so I went OEM to make sure I did not have any leaks. As it turns out, I don't. Sounds like you already did the work so doesn't really matter now. But you should be fine with the AISIN gasket. GL and HTH.

is the O-Ring goes on the base or the top of the thermostat so the thermostat sits firm in FJ60 it is on the top

I wont think it over but I did and still searching for HJ60 with that rubber ring fitted.:meh:

The O ring rubber is tight fit over the edge but then installation was impossible, also impossible to press it to a fit without damage.

And I will not just throw a gasket in loose, don't want it to end up in the water-pump, and there was no O ring fitted before (but I never trust a previous owner)

Some start leaking when replaced (warped) so maybe that's why OEM is advised?

The diesel H part number is also for other models and I think the rubber ring is for DAIHATSU FOURTRAK 2.8D 87 to 93 DL51
