Picked two new crappers. Both American Standard, $250 & $150. Each one took about an hour to remove the old one and install the new one. We're going to test drive these before deciding on the next two.

Watch for the belch on those, when we built, we bought 2 identical units. Thought it was a vent issue so swapped them and still had the same problem with the same crapper. Too bad I didn't figure this out before the warrenty was up.

We have one that "burps/belches" when flushed, the air bubble involved screws up the take it away thing. From plumbers I have talked to, it is a common flaw in mass produced porcelain crappers.

Interesting. I didn't see anything about 'burp/belching' in the reviews. Which model did you get? These are both Cadet 3, one's a 2 piece and the other is a 1 piece.

2 piece American Std Cadet 3

1 piece American Std Cadet 3 tall

You are asking alot, that was 5 years ago...
You pick the model:

If you bought 2 of these, 50/50 chance you have a belcher.

 Neither of mine have the handle on the side of the tank and the traps have a different curvature to them. Hopefully these aren't belchers.
