So today I spent most of the day working on the fuel line. I really struggled not to kink the copper line on the 90 degree bend. Anyway I finally think I’ve got one that will work. I also installed my fuel pump and new battery tray.

I had some confusion on wether to use the spacer or not. Well with a little help from MUD I found out it wasn’t needed on early fuel pumps. new fuel pump installed with no spacer.

Got the tires mounted today! I alway like to give my techs something to laugh at so I tried to mount one myself. I fought with it for 10 minutes before turning it over to a professional!

I am contemplating using the s10 fuel tank. Do you have any info on the parts you used to get from the filler neck to the tank, and a picture? Your work looks great, I wish mine was done. Thanks for taking the time to document. This helps me out a lot.

Here are a few pics of my setup. I’m using a @Downey rear fuel cell. Everything came with the tank with the exception of a sending unit which he helped me source. I also moved the factor gas door placement so it looks somewhat factory.

Just FYI, the Toyota black is either a primer or low quality paint that will fade rather quickly.

I’d recommend taping and painting the wheel faces, even if staying black.

Well I finally threw in the towel and took the 40 to the body shop. I really wanted to paint it myself but driving it sometime this century is more important! Most of the body work was done so they are just painting it for me. They have already done more in a week than I've gotten done in the last 6 months!

I'll be using an aftermarket rear swing out for my tire carrier. Has anyone used the Plus 4 rear swing out? I'm looking for something very simple.

I added a grease zerk for the spindles, it helps a ton.

If there was a way to limit and lock the arms when they are open it would be a major improvement as well.

I'm thinking that is a British pipe thread size. I don't know exact numbers.
