I know this lies pretty squarely in the "get yur arse in and take a look" category, but nonetheless I thought I'd try again. Ya see I got this here 4sp in my rig ya see, and it's makin some noises I dont cotton too. So ya see, (ok seriously) I'm about to have it torn down and was wondering if based on my best and revised "click and clack" noise impressions, if anyone might be able to offer an educated guess as to what I'll be looking for. I was wrong before, it's not "growling" (that was me), it's making clicking sounds. 1 and 2 are perfect, but 3 and 4 are noisy. 3 is not bad at all and the problem could only be heard by myself and dogs, but 4 is getting downright audible and in 4th in 4low, it's verging on the occaisional CLANK... *shudder*.

And... (never start a sentence with "and"), would Cruiser Dan be a good source for some tranny parts?

In order to accurately figure out what is going on with your transmission and transfer case assembly, you will need to remove it from the vehicle and tear it down.
