Hi

does anyone knows the diference betwwen a Warn 8274-50 and an 8274-40?? At least the owner said it was an older model and that it was an 8274-40 (never heard of it)
I much does the 8274-40 is worth? Is there any big disadvantage on it? i can get one for a reasonable price (i think). What things do i need to pay attention before i buy it?

8274-50 has the 4.6hp motor, all other 8274's had the 2.5ho motor, never heard of a -40 but it might just be at the end of the part #.

depending on condition any working 8274 is worth at least 400-600 IMO

8274 motor and mods

I think it's possible to replace the original motor with almost every warn motor. In the worst scenrio, you need to replace the motor gear from keyed to a splined one...
