I have been looking high and low on every webpage for either a 60 or a 62 in good shape for $10-12K and I haven't had any luck. What I really want is a stock white one with gray or blue interior. Anyone out there know of one for sale or maybe have one you're interested in selling? I'm in Southern California and I'm willing to trave wherever for a good find in this price range.

My 85 fj60 is a V8 conversion. It has an amazing interior and exterior (white / blue). The engine has 46,000 miles on it and the chassis has 210,000. With the engine swap, it is not stock but you should at least come take a look at it. I am in SoCal as well. I linked my mud ad below.

I wanted to just thank everyone for your responses. I know I'm probably being too picky looking for a stock one, but that's really what I'm looking for (in factory white). TLC in Van Nuys has one, but it's $25k---way out o my price range. Anyhow, thank you guys again. I'm still looking.

No need to apologize for being picky. Everyone deserves the "cruiser of their dreams" haha. And for $12k, you will find one that others will probably be drooling over. Good luck with your search :)

Curious - link or more info on the TLC one? Not on their site.

I did get it, and I just found out I'm getting transferred with my employer to NYC. It's back up for sale---I'll take $8,500 for it.

Drive it out here to NYC!

Oh lemme tell ya I'd love to, but my pay increase isn't even enough to cover how much I'll be paying for a tiny 1 bdrm on the upper east. From what I've been reading the past couple days, a parking spot (nowhere near me) will be another $200 a month at minimum :(

Where is your office? IMO, where I live in Brooklyn (Williamsburg) is better than the UES. Tons to do and a bit cheaper.

It's actually right by city hall, but the fiancé and I were thinking upper east would be easier for her job too. If we were to do Brooklyn, Park Slope is really the only place we were considering. Good luck parking the old 62 there :-/

Park slope is OK if you work near City Hall. Williamsburg is great. There is so much happening here. I park in a garage but street parking isn't horrible here. Wherever you end up, good luck!!!
