Want 2 See 4Bt swap in So Cal (1 Viewer)

Has anyone in So Cal area done, or even better, have a Cummins 4BT or Isuzu swap in a 60 I could see? I wanted Toyota, but want to explore all my options.

Are you rear to do a SOA along with a 4" lift to clear everything such as the front axle and the hood?

Not sure yet. I saw a picture of a 60 with 4BT that had the oil pan cut. They claimed it fit with no SOA and same lift as mine? That is why I want to see one in person.

If I were to do it again, I would find a rusted out Canadian HJ 60 rig and swap the Toyota diesel over. They are coming down in price and you can find some rusted out ones for $800 - $1200 if you check the Canadian Graigslist.

Thanks for the straight talk and advice. I thought Toyota would be the best route to go, but the engines and parts are harder to find than the 4BT's. We also spend a lot of time at elevations of 6 - 9,000 feet, so a turbo is a must.

The quest will continue. I'm getting close to doing this conversion.
