"Walky Dog"

    A few years back on the LCML there was mention of a hand powered winch or puller called a "walky Dog" or something like that.
    As I recall it was commonly used in oil fields and might have been peculiar to OZ.

    Anybody have any info onthis thing?
    I cna;t finnd the reference now.

    Don't know anything about a dog, but here's a black rat winch from Australia.

    That fits the description
    Kind of crawls along a cable

    Maybe the "walky dog" is a generic name

    Those may be good winches but for some reason I like this one better.... :grinpimp:

    If you concentrate and bring the picture out of focus you'll see a Land Cruiser appear. :D
