I'm in VA, our trucks rust to crap here, if it spent its life here, it'll rust. Unless previous owner didn't drive it in the winter and wash the under carriage often.

Thanks for your input. Compared to the NE salt. The DC beet brine is nothing. Oh yeah, under carriage was washed each of the two times it would see measurable snow.
