I would drive it and have fun....I can't tell you the last time I check mpg, torfab does some very clean work...looks sharp. I'm thinking on some future changes....which might entail a 6.0 and auto trans, but not made up my mind if that's happening on the 60 or a new project (80).
Elbert, I am with you on the mileage thing....I have only been noting the results as there has been a fair amount of discussion on what the mileage is on these conversions. Also I was curious as a new operator but my original point still stands. Do not do a conversion for the wrong reasons, the mileage bump will never payout in the end......Cheers

Your engine bay is beautiful. Kudos to Tor Fab

On these v8's it is an average for mpg. If you monitor the engine with a scan gauge you will see mpg is all over the place. Coasting you can see 50mpg, heavy throttle up a hill and it drops to 5-7mpg, I have seen as low as 2mpg in the sand dunes. On average my 97 vortec did pretty darn good on mpg. Here is a picture coming home from Baja last year, just north of Vegas, about 6,000lbs was what the truck was at.

Yeah that is what I have started looking at more than anything with vehicles in general is what the usage will mainly be and what the average for that would be. Once I get everything situated with my rebuild I am going to have to start tracking my mileage better and seeing what I come up with. At its worst I was getting 9.8mpg avg. on BeBe but that was with 90% city driving for my commute which is 2.5miles one way on city streets.
