When I press the Pwr window switches or turn on the turn signals the voltmeter warning light (little square red light) temporarily illuminates. My battery and alternator checked out fine! Rig runs fine. What's the deal? 97' FZJ80

Electrical resistance somewhere. Could be a Fusible Link.

Is that one of the cables running from the positive terminal to that junction box? Any damage or adverse risks of leaving this alone?

Thank you so much for your help! I will change this part out and see if it fixes the issue.

Have you measured the battery voltage with the engine running? Should be at least 14 Volts.

Also measure the voltage on the "GAUGE" fuse, should be the same.

Voltmeter level went lower and lower until the car wouldn't start and red light remained on. I'm pretty sure the alternator just died.
