May I ask why you need longer studs?

Is this a "a penny for your thoughts" kinda question?

If so, it's gonna cost a dollar, 'cause mine's XXX rated....

I'm trying to follow the logic ...

Wheels are too thick to engage enough threads to feel warm and fuzzy about, short by 20mm minimum.

Same issue on the LX, which the IS300 studs worked perfectly on, but this hub is different.

Gonna run them like they are, after all..

It's a trail rig right? Just get
12.9-rated metric bolts and weld them in instead of pressing the studs in.

What is this language you speak?

Axles are temps and hoping to maintain their value (although I'm not sure who will appreciate 40/55/70 axles LSD 4.56s) to sell in (I hope) a few months.

The only lingering concern that's halted building the Ruff Stuff's is gear ratio selection and whether or not the cable lockers will hold up to +37s.....butt dyno'ing first this week.....dunno on second concern.

Still 2" (1" per side) narrower than the 80 axles will be. Taller than I'm hoping for, too, but lots still remaining to determine.

Yes, I'm cutting u bolts off...

Edited: and yes I see where I missed a spot of yellow.

My, those are dainty tires. :princess:

Are you installing Diamond axle housing just for width? Keeping front leafs?

Why not install wheel spacers? Way easier.

Them that' ar the leetle ones...

Way easier.

What is the "way easier" of which you speak?

I do not compute...

Intend 80 width Ruff Stuff housed axles for following:

I have front and rear uber built innards from the LX, languishing away in a state of cryo (everything was cryo'd except the housing. Hell, even cryo'd the brake pads!!...) that I plan to move to the RS axles, along with high steer (that I hope to not need, considering a limbo contestant is the goal).

Need the additional real estate between the relatively wide frame and tire for coil overs.

Need the additional strength of the housings for mounts.

I bought them to fix my 80, which ended in an epic fail.....

My ode and tribute....

Keeping front leafs?

Silly, cruisermatt!

Leafs are for trees!!

Why not install wheel spacers?

Wound up having to.... Front or rear of draglink didn't mitigate the tierod rubbing the inside of the Trail Ready's....

Had I known,I'd have put down the grinder sooner.

She's sitting 2" short of 80 WMS-WMS in the rear with the spacers.

This is Delancy you are talking about. He does not do "way easier" anything.....

Touché.......

Hopefully this Delancy can finally way finisher something to regain momentum, otherwise it may be time to link a Prius.

I forgot that you were installing the PP80 axle innards in the RS housings.

If you just wanted track width then I would advise spacers.

But you want more than track width.

Carry on!

Dunno what happened, but three posts appeared, deleted one, now all gone.....and, no, I ain't been drinking....

Pics, again...

WTF needs fenders when ya got tires like that? :)

The inner debate/struggle over keeping the fronts or opening up to cowl appears to be solved, because the fenders aren't doing much anyway.

No full truck picture? Come on, you're holding out on us!

No full truck picture?

No room.....truck waiting on my junk to move is patiently parked closely, in next bay. Kinda saying "move your chit"....it being a work truck, a tinge of guilt, since my piss poor planning has led to this mini-saga..... prolly won't feel a tinge of guilt when paying rent.

Been thinking about functional form, because they can marry and the product of be pleasing.

Still thinking fender-less is the best option (unless someone has a 79 front clip for less than two arms and a kidney,

because that I'd prefer)

But in reality, similar to:

Cleaned up at the firewall and new, high clearance inner.

Keep going back to one of Don's

But dunno how to make that happen, with the 7X lines.

Chatted with metalangelo yesterday, checking on recovery and requesting "fix" pics. More than a little surprised with the current media, but not at all surprised with the awesomeness.

How I'd love to have a full sized set for the dungeon....

Bumped until next year and not at all disappointed since I've still a place in line.
