One more Q about this part - if in down position, do you still get alright FM reception?
Not likely. With FM signals you need an antenna that isn't surrounded by sheet metal (our fenders) that creates an essential faraday cage. FM frequencies fall within the VHF spectrum and you want an antenna that reaches as high above the vehicle as possible, within reason. With the antenna retracted into the fender, you'll only get reception from the absolute strongest signals where you're located, and even those will be fairly weak.

Amplitude and Frequency Modulation.

It refers to how broadcasters encode the signals before transmitting them.

I also rarely listen to FM stations because they have more commercials than potato chip bags have air, and even less often to AM.

And you do realize I don't use push notifications for anything aside from texts and voicemail, right?

i am diving ever deeper into my fascination with all the old-skool variations of heater Union Hose Bibs

- my goals here are to Eventually find the perfect interchange / Substitute / up-grade / or simple repair remody for the Current set-up on a late Model FJ40 / FJ60 2F

- those don't last forever and a viable solution sorted out now in advance , is my Mission Statement ...........

What is the od of the threaded end on those heater unions, Matt? Looking for something to replace the iron pipe (po solution) on my Stout head, which looks pretty similar to the F head openings.
