I'm looking for a picture of the VIN plate looks like for 73 FJ40

Listed all over the forums. Are you referring to the Fender tag or the A pillar tag?

US model of that vintage should have a riveted plate on the drivers side A pillar and a matching (if original) stamp on the passenger side front rail just above the front shackle. There's a good VIN breakdown on SOR's website last I looked.
