I bought it from the original owners and have loved it ever since. Maintaining it with fluid changes and flushes regularly in the 6 years and 60k miles since I bought it (147k currently). I have all service records and receipts for pretty much everything. And as parts have been required, I've used nothing but OE Ford parts and fluids.

It's mostly stock, with addition of a K&N filter and FIPK kit. I installed 1 ½" shackles in the rear, and then lifted the front to level it out. I changed out the original 15" wheels for the 16's and have about 25k miles on the tires. Up front, I've installed Powerslot rotors and Eagle brake pads. In the rear, I replaced everything but the calipers with stock Ford parts. I also replaced all of the shocks with Monroes last summer. It stops really well, and is very tight and crisp on the road.

The original stereo has been replaced by aftermarket JVC, Pioneer, Rockford Fosgate, and JL Audio system components, and it all sounds pretty good.

There are lots of subtle modifications that I haven't mentioned that make this Explorer stand out among others, but it's the combination of the nearly perfect condition of the vehicle and those mods that make this a really nice example of a second generation Explorer. If you're looking for a nice-older SUV that you know you can trust as soon as you drive it, this would be that one.

I have some new parts that I will include in the deal along with an unused set of Bushwhacker flares.

(plates are good until March, 2015)

I'm asking $3700 or best reasonable offer.

I bought a Land Cruiser and just don't have enough space here.

Serious inquires only please. (five zero three-nine one five-nine nine one eight)

I'm near Portland, Oregon.

Thanks for looking.
