Just wondering what other forum members think of Valvoline engine oil. It's becoming quite easy to get hold of over here in the UK now and competively priced compared to other brands.A local parts store has started stocking it.It's for the 1HD-FT engine.

Is that what they call "Premium Blue 15w-40"?

I just bought 12 liters of 20w-50 for my 1HD-T. I plan to use it on my next change. I bought it because it was the cheapest available and I change oil often because frequent oil changes are more comforting to my mind than long lasting oil.

I like the idea of more frequency rather than long lasting.
The Valvoline is a big seller in oz ,I just dont like the a****** that advertises it

I was going to try Toyotas 15-50 petrol/diesel own brand next time as they have offered it at a competative price lately

You must be talking something different than the Premium Blue 'cause I think that's a semi-synthetic.

I'm also of the frequent change opinion. Mine is done at 5,000km's ALL the time.

I have used Valvoline Medium Ash Diesel oil in my BJ61 3B and HJ61 12h-T for several years and I reccomend it. Comes in 10l packs which are ideal for 12H-t oil changes
