1977 with 10/76 build date: Sitting @ dealership getting wife's 21 4runner serviced and had them look up and see if they could get me an OEM valve cover gasket. YEP, be here in 2 days. No shipping $. Fast forward to today. Went to replace leaking gasket, removed old one and new one does not look like one I removed. New one is cork, PN# 11253-60010. The one I removed is rubber with a lip to fit into groove on valve cover. Did they get me the side cover gasket?

cork gasket looks like the pushrod cover or side cover gasket
the valve cover gasket should be rubber, also get the 4 for the nuts on top.

Looks like they did give you the side cover gasket. Not correct for the valve cover.

well son of a nutcracker! So, me and google are looking and looking, my FSM doesn't show me a PN# Does anybody know the right OEM PN#

Gasket, Cylinder Head Cover says it is for a 1975-1980.

It took me exactly 1-min to find this. It's a shame people are getting paid to look up parts and can't do this correctly.

are you going to adjust the valves also?
probably keep the side cover gasket, you'll most likely need it in the future
