Valve cover crack? (1 Viewer)

Has anyone seen similar marks inside their valve cover? Is this normal or am I buying a new VC? Any assist is appreciated.

Looks like casting marks? Grind it down flat and see what it looks like. Looks fine to me though.

If it is cracked I would call that a prime candidate for the old JB weld treatment. Or you could get it tig welded. Either way I don't think you need to buy a new valve cover unless they are cheap.

Thanks all for the input, glad I don’t have to drop $300 on a new VC but I won’t lie in stating I was slightly looking forward getting a new one.
