Using stock power antenna with after market receiver (1 Viewer)

Purchased a Boss receiver from Crutchfield and wondered if anyone has successfully retained the stock antenna on a 97 LX450?
If not, is there a good replacement antenna?

unplug it out of the deck you’re pulling out...

....and plug it into the new deck you’re putting in.

There are adapters if your factory antenna bung is diff size from new head unit size.

I'm guessing it goes up and down when the deck powers on and off?

The deck should have a blue cable labeled ant. I would recommend using a harness from metra. This will save wiring headaches. But the blue ant wire will signal the antenna to move.
