FYI - there's a white 1997 80 for sale on ebay in Dallas at a Lexus dealer. The motor has a bad main or something and knocks like crazy and has low oil pressure. I don't know what you can do to hide a knock in an engine, but it didn't knock when I drove it, just two days later after an oil change. If you're looking for one, look for a different one.

85W-90 in place of 10W-30 will hide an engine knock. For a week or so.

This, coming from a guy in the car business....

Seriously, it must be the extreme pressure additives at work. SAE 90wt gear oil viscosity overlaps SAE 40 & 50wt motor oils (roughly 15 - 25 cSt).

That's a little scary. I thought that place was more of a stand up place than that. I'm surprised they don't dump it off to auction, instead of ruining their creditability with hiding an issue.
