Upper centre console disassembly? (1 Viewer)

G'day all. The green backlight has died on my LC100 stereo, anyone know how to pull the centre dash console apart to pull out the stereo in a futile effort to see whats up? I've been poking around with a penknife, but, only managed to make dangerous sounding creakings so far, and retreated...it senses my fear... I've looked int he FAQ'a but only info on the lower centre console which I've already used to recover a small fortune in lost change from the previous owner.
PS How may 's' in dissassembly?

I pulled my air vents to get access there, maybe start with those with a small screwdriver
