I live in a rural area that requires head lights during the day. I set my “auto” feature for head lights to max sensitive.
The IPF is worth a little flicker to me.

Just went out and double checked:
I have zero flicker with my DRLs using IPFs.

2008

Mines a 2013.

Ya, the light tech definitely changed your year, so maybe it’s sending different power to your DRL mode...?

I live in a semi rural area. Day time head lights are required and the DRL is helpful. The harness I was looking at will not help. So I adjusted auto feature on head lights to the highest setting and will have a little flicker at low light. These IPF LED’s rock. It’s worth the flicker issue.

How do you disable the DRLs?

Touchscreen menu.

If that is a touch screen menu option I will shut that s*** off tomorrow

Site is acting weird today. My posts are doubling up or not posting.

Was trying to say that I see so many people driving only with drls that think their full lights are on. Creates dangerous night driving conditions. I just turn on lights when necessary.

Don't know if it's the same on your 2011 LC200, but on my 2013 LC200 it's under Vehicle Customization:

Setup > Vehicle > Vehicle Customization > Lighting Options > Daytime Running Lights On/Off

HTH

I will check in the morning - I hope it is that simple. Appreciate it

Just wait. You will unfortunately

Curious why that’s the prediction.
I’ve been running the IPFs for a year and a half and have never seen flicker.

Seems like those who do run into flicker see it immediately.

There is no system setting option to disable DRLs on the 08-11s

No, it's there. Just need to keep digging. :steer:

Vehicle > Settings > Lights > DRL

If you absolutely can't find the setting, you can disconnect the little resistor that sits in front of the power steering reservoir. Early years have the resistor, but later years apparently use pulse width modulation for the DRL instead, which is why the later years are more prone to flicker when LEDs are installed.

Ya, seems like most screen access to custom features showed up in the ‘13 update.
