Could someone please tell me where this orange wire is supposed to connect. Live when ignition is on live when engine is running. 2H diesel.

Looks like a glow system patch.
Grab the wire and move it around, imagine where it can go! There is probably another wire lurking around just waiting for a connection.
Note: That other wire could be a different colour.

I don’t have my 2H anymore so I can’t help. Do you have a maintenance manual with the wiring diagrams? That should help.
