Unknown Cables on Battery FJ62 (1 Viewer)

Hey guys, does anyone with some more experience than me in vehicle wiring/electrical know what these additional cables are connected to the positive terminal on my battery? Been pulling all the previous owner's shoddy electric out (trailer wiring, stereo system, etc) but this one escapes me. I've included the pictures that show it tying into a run with other wires and then they go through the firewall.

There is also a plug beneath my dash that has me lost as well that maybe someone could tell me what that and the spring is for? I've circled them both in the attached images (I know I am missing the air duct that runs to the driver's side vent. Its' on the list!)

Spring could be for the tilt steering wheel or brake pedal.

those are the fusible links off the battery
spring is most likely off the brake pedal, it's a return spring

It all looks stock to me. Not sure what it's all for, but doesn't look like shoddy PO type work.
