Unknown Alarm Warning Noise?...EX Prado

Hi There, I've got a 1994 EX Prado (Series 77 i think), recently it's started making a strange noise like an alarm clock going off when i switch off the ignition. It does have a turbo timer fitted, but it's a different noise (the t-timer is one continuos beep, the new noise is four rapid beeps like an alarm clock, repeated for about 10 seconds). Anyone got any idea what it could be?

Sounds like an alarm trying to set itself. Find and destroy

if the sunroof is open when you turn off the ignition..i think it beeps

hope that was your problem

If you could find the box making the noise and it has a part number on it you could punch that number into the EPC and it might tell you exactly what it is.

I've checked it all out this morning and the winning reply, was............Bakasan! (Awesome mate)!

Turns out the sun roof was open, ever so slightly, i'm talking like 2mm, you couldn't even tell by looking at it from the top, but it wasn't quite seated up fully.
