Alright, let's see 'em. I love me some unimogs. I just can't justify, afford or store one.

Here is a ridiculously nice Mog from Anchorage Alaska.
It originally came from Africa, but got the camper section in Germany.

I forgot what model / year it is, but I'm sure somehow can figure it out.

BTW it got tandem pulled by 2 cruisers when it got stuck in this little mud hole!:lol:

Here is a couple pictures of my 1955 unimog 401. 25HP diesel. The biggest little truck ever built, haha. With a wheelbase of only 65" it was however to short for a lot of trails. So I sold it and bought my next Unimog which was a 1969 404 swiss army troop carrier. Unbelievabley capable truck on the trails. Often had Jeeps dragging behind on a tow strap. The downside was it was just too dam slow on the road and too dam big to haul......So I sold it and bought another Landcruiser.

These are photos of Unimogs my father worked on when we were living on Stradbroke Island (off the coast of Brisbane Australia) in the 50's. There were only 7 in the country at time with 5 of them on Stradbroke.

That 401 is piece of history being the first Mog that Daimler Benz made after they took over production in 51. I know this isn't an active thread but how fast do you think the 401 could get going?

My 401 was on 35x10.5 tires and it maxed out at 60km/h (40mph). That being said it still took a while to get up there even with perfect conditions.

Additionally allthough production of the Unimog U-25 was moved to Daimler benz facility in 1951, they never received the 401 designation or the Mercedes star until 1953
