The turbo blew a blade on my 2001 LC 4.2 TD Diesel and caused problems with a cylinder as well. So after having a new turbo installed, head machined, cylinder rebuilt, refurbished injectors installed , an amber warning light has appeared on my dash. I've looked everywhere on the web at the various Toyota warning lights - there are over 60 on various vehicles - I could not identify this one. It's been suggested it's something with Turbo but my mechanic says there are no electrical parts so Turbo should not throw a warning. But it sure looks like something for a turbo charger
Can anyone tell me what it indicates? (please see attached photo)

Too much boost… Different models/ years but ya. That light is clearly showing a turbo. And it’s orange.

Thanks buddy! Too much boost is interesting - so I don't need 2 turbos so I have extra boost - lol. Someone told me the newer LC's have 4

Somehow your engine fan got into your radiator hose. The dash light is clear as day about that.
:) Of course! Funny, I thought it looked like a fan at first too, but a friend said it looked like the turbo

I had overboost trouble code because of blocked particulate filter. Would come on regularly whenever i pressed the skinny pedal to the floor for more than a few secs. Resolved by fixing the particulate filter (often called Catalytic Converter, which it is not).

OK - looks like it's some kind of sensor that's attached by a hose to the turbo, then to an electrical connection. It is faulty. A couple of you have posted it's due to an overboost in turbo, which I assume this sensor is meant to handle? Anyway, now the problem is getting the part. The Toyota dealer here in San Pedro Sula, Honduras doesn't have the part. ANyone know where I might find it, and what the part is? I have a 2001 4.2 liter diesel series j100

Try an online parts dealer like Partsouq or Amayama. Partsouq is a little easier to use, but both have been reliable for me.
