Unexpected or unusual manufacturing locations for OEM genuine parts (1 Viewer)

Not sure if this gets talked about much. But I was wondering what unusual places genuine 80 series aka LX450 parts have been manufacturered? We expect nearly all if it to be from Japan, but surprisingly that's not always the case. For example I have a new AC evap assembly clearly marked 'made in Australia'.

What other parts do people come across that aren't made in Japan?

I think eventually, a lot of this OEM stuff for older vehicles will head to China. Toyota cares about quality, and China has tons of factories nowadays that actually make decent stuff as long as someone not local is in charge of QC. And it’s still cheaper than Japanese made stuff.
