Looking at purchasing my first 200 since we need a seven seater for our daily driver. The one we’re looking at spent 2 years in Ohio before moving our to Colorado. Thoughts on if this is worth $40k+? I thought the undercarriage looked decent except for rear bumper cover area brackets, but wanted to get the opinion of those of you that know what you’re looking at.

2014 LX - 88k , all services done at Lexus dealerships, 2 owners. Interior and paint looks to be in very very good condition.

Thanks for any insight - appreciate the responses

How much?!?

Looks like almost entirely surface rust from those photos. Definitely not as bad as others that have posted here recently. I would say go for it!

Damn market is still holding up. Wonder how much mine is worth…

As far as rust it looks like it might have ben kept coated? The trouble spots (rear hook) look like the areas where the coating didn’t hold up well from wheel splash.

The rest isn’t too bad for owning in Colorado assuming thats where you’ll keep it.

Undercarriage looks good. Also rubber parts look ok. Having a clear view on it, with no undercarriage spray stuff on it, is an advantage.
If you are in a wet / winter salted environment: Put some penetrating lanoline based rust protection and you are good to go for a long time.
Cheers Ralf
