Quite by accident I discovered that there are 2 more cup holders under the center arm rest. today. Was trying to get the top of the arm rest to close my arm rest is full of allergy meds and pens and such... and the cup holder thing popped open. After a year and a half I am still discovering things.

I remember the day I "discovered" those cup holders...after I saw pictures somewhere here!

Then, this weekend, by accident, I discovered you can quickly twist and release the key and the starter will spin until the engine starts...no need to hold the key. Maybe I'm the last to figure this out too!

I think that's only on the fancy 2003+ models.

I believe all came with console cupholder insert, maybe someone took yours out fireball.

Only on 2003+ LX's as far as I know (?). My '99 doesnt have them, but my '04 does.

^Good cup rests! I love it when our coffee goes flying when I have to stop fast or turn. Say what you want about ford, but I have 6 within my reach in my truck and I use nearly all of them.

Now thats curious... the dealer I bought mine from and all my paper work says I have a 2002. And I never knew there were different trim levels for cruisers....

I discovered this morning in our 01 LX that the divider between the cup holders in the center console (the one just behind the seat heater switches) can be moved one detent offset in each direction....it even has little alignment marks.

Interesting, mine looks to have those notches but I've never tried that, will have to later! I also have the hidden cup holder insert in the bottom compartment of the center console on my 98. I find them very useless for drinks, but my sunglasses fit there well lol

They're not talking about the goofy removable tray thing on the early trucks. It's this thing:

That's how I found mine...now wondering if there's a way to remove the cup holder part without destroying it and get a storage tray...

When I had the Surf, it had cupholders in the dash, just in front of the air vents.
Very handy in summer with the aircon running. Always cool drinks.
But now with the lX, who cares when you have a fridge in the center console.....

I found another one....
The sun shade/visors slide on their bars so that you can pull them across and closer to the pillar between front and 2nd row seats when they are swung out. Made me happy because they seemed too short and lacked a pull out piece to extend them. Not sure if thats in the user manual too, but it's kind of fun to discover stuff too.

That is how I originally found that my CD changer could play DVD movies. Never used it afterward.
