I changed my front spider on the u-joint (front diff side) yesterday and today I have noticed that grease fitting assembly hole/zerk are not facing in the correct direction per the FSM.

Is this going to cause a problem? or do I need to re-do it again??

Thanks for all your help as usual.

In general, you could remove the shaft and rotate the flange while putting the flange at the most extreme angle. If nothing touches, and you are able to reach the zerk with a grease gun, I would imagine it would be all right.

Thanks spdwaver1, So if I am able to recah the zerk with a grease gun the way it is now then I am OK? and no need to re-do it all over again to make it match the FSM illustration?

All that matters is that you can grease it, as far as alignment goes. I promise you're not the first or last person to accidentally set it up that way.
