I use plates that are a similar setup to the superior engineering ones.

The lower mount is more than an inch higher than the stock position. As another poster said moving it up and retaining the stock top position , shortens your shock.
Most everything I build is for the average guy that doesn't have the time or means to do a lot of fabrication. If a customer has already spent good money on new shocks he'd probably be a bit miffed if he bought an accessory that required replacing them.

has anyone tried the superior engineering u-bolt flip kit? looks like they're designed for SOA, if i'm not mistaken.

i might just have to get the 4+ stuff and get rid of that shock mount on them.
