Thanks! I have those exact same items in my cart at CruiserTEQ right now so I'll go ahead and order them. Glad to hear the Advance Auto kit worked for removal and install

I've got two NIB front tie rod ends from Proforge - they were super beefy compared to MOOG (which I didn't want and at the time couldn't get 555s) - saw a post/reference to them I believe from @TRAIL TAILOR 's build. If you want them I would let them go for a low price.... can take pics if you want.

I working on my 95 80-series, trying to figure out why I'm not getting heat in the cabin. New valve under the hood adjusted correctly and all the servos an dampers under the dash are operating correctly. I get good heat for about 30 seconds immediately after I switch the temp slider from cold to heat, but then it just starts blowing cold again.

I'm thinking the heater core may be blocked...sound about right? @izzyandsue ... is my memory correct that you did a post about your heater core and a similar issue? If so, where did you put that? I'm having trouble digging it back up.

If the blend doors are opening and the valve is working then the core is pretty much the only thing it could be at that point.

@FJ Noob My white 80 did the exact thing a few years ago and it was the heater core. Flushed it and have had great heat ever since. I also used @izzyandsue ’s thread. Very helpful

Anyone ever do the air injection pump on a 4.7? '06 Sequoia with 175k went into limp mode tonight throwing the infamous P2440. I've read a few threads on replacing the valve and pump versus the bypass kit. I did the timing belt/water pump so I feel confident I could do the replacement, just curious if anyone has some actual experience...

80 to the rescue!!

The Hewitt tech bypass kit is pretty pricey but it's a one and done deal. If you replace the air pump and valves they will fail again

We have all heard the song, I want 40 caps on 17" rims blues. Cause 40 caps on FJC rims on 80 roller with a 60 body is ALL TOYOTA right

OEM clips are not to be found so I modified the Chevy clip on the left to look like the one on the right

3 clips welded on, cap fits!! It will have 6 total when complete

Almost made it 200k miles on the original driver’s seat, and a good few of those were rough miles.

Out with the old, in with the new….ish. Ok, so the “new” is technically a year older than the “old”, but let’s just keep that between you and me.

Gotta love breaking your damn SEAT in the first few hundred yards of wheelin’ for the day.

The new one is cloth instead of leather, so I thought about buying the other seat, but my passenger side seat is in pretty good shape, and besides…..you can’t really tell the difference between them with the seat covers on anyway.

Thanks to Johny and Ryan for coming by to help me out with the new 6 shooter knuckles and front axle rebuild.
Also, thanks to Eric for letting me use his hydraulic press and drill press to press in the trunion bearing elimination kit on the new knuckles.

Missing the two outer C clips and one control arm knuckles stud but we got 99% of it done.

It’s on all four tires but got too dark to take a picture.

Still sitting in jack stands because I have to drill out one knuckle to put the new calipers on so will have to pull the tires off again but I’m very happy with the amount of work we accomplished today.

Did the front ball joints today. I got the wrong kit from Advance auto that only had longer ball joint press cups so that made it interesting. Mcguyvered the one side with it and then went and got the correct kit for the other side. New ball joints and my clicking noise is gone! Next up are tie rods. Also cleaned up the engine bay from Uwharrie and gave the whole truck a bath.
