Going to do some mild trimming this weekend ran into some rubbing at the Christmas party hoping spacers/cutting will fix this for now...

Front is easy back might prove to be alittle more challenging.

New thermostat, because as much fun as it is having a cool engine in the summer, not having heat this winter hasn't been as fun.
And a new Thermostat upper and lower housing b/c corrosion is a b#tch.

Some very light wrenching. New 4”air filter with snazzy blue prefilter as well as a shiny new fan shroud (never had one) that I had to build some brackets for and mount up. Fits pretty nice but in hindsight a 3” would have been better. 4” is a little deep for the fan.

Radiator day here too.....
Installed new unit and redid the top mount to allow some movement to avoid being rigid mounted to frame and body both.

I need to work on a shroud still.

@jimsmith1370 hasn't been taking his truck to the monthly meetings because it kinda fell apart in my garage:

As of Monday Morning, Jim has the truck back and she's better than ever! Machine shop took 5 weeks to go through the head, which sucked, but the final result is excellent. Cam journals polished, 5 exhaust valves and valve guides replaced, full valve job after that, pressure tested good and stored upright until it was installed.

I got the mount from HF but I'm going to replace all of that soon with ARB front bumper.

Cool. Id be interested in the old stuff if you want to dispose of it. Until I whack a deer, I dont need the added weight of an ARB. I wouldnt need the winch or fairlead.

1 - Hit deer. Install deer protection. Sounds like a winner of a plan.
2 - Neither do most of us. You must already have one. But you also have a bunch of vehicles...

Those brush guards are called "damage multipliers" for a reason. Take the winch mount, ditch the brush guard.

I dont want the damage multiplier, i gave one to Jay off my 450, and set the one off my white 97 to the curb within a week of bringing the truck home. The PO bumped something with the damage multiplier, which caved in my bumper mounts, bumper, and valence. I just need the bumper brackets, end cap, and winch mount. Ive got a new center section of a stock bumper. Eventually I'll do a cool bumper, but until then, this would be ideal for me.
