I have a 68 and 69 FJ40 harness are they both have 2 wires cut near the emergency hazard switch.

They are red with a green line. Any idea where they go?

Thanks
Ernie

Maybe red /black....hatd to tell

I think it's for an interior light, so all feedback welcome

im gonna say that's for a back up light switch , on a column mount shift type FJ40 68-69

the reverse switch is on the very end , sorta to the LEFT of the hazard switch R/L in my period correct paper parts cataloger in ONLY a reverse switch , if some one did a floor shifter conversion this would explain why there both severed ?

see my tech images below

this is my best evaluation results i can provide you my friend

No, not even close. Those are Red/Green wires and they are for the Dome/Vader light switch. Connect them to the switch (polarity not important) and when you pull the switch on +12V power will be sent to two other Red/Green wires with female bullet connectors on the harness. One is the Dome light and comes out of the harness with the windshield wiper wires and the other comes out near the glove box where an extension wire would plug in and go to the Vader light.
