So I have a Twinkie, that will reach its 20 year shelf life test on May 11th (This Friday).

in an effort to celebrate the successful conclusion of this test, it is dinner and drinks at the Twiddy's this Friday night for anyone interested.

We will inspect, photograph, and perhaps eat the Twinkie, depending upon what is for dinner, and how much alcohol we consume. :)

Just throwing this together last minute, thought I would invite my club friends who are interested.

drop me a note, or respond here if interested...

FYI And thanks!

Tony, I will see if the wife is interested and get back to you, however, I got to know are we also going to do a post-it note test as well? I believe that I heard something about that also.

no response from Hostess, but 3M wants a photo...

You have kept a twinkie around for 20 yrs? ;p
Was this on accident or did you plan this?

A friend ate a 3yr old can ham that’s been (as a joke) bouncing around in 5 or so different trucks…heated and unheated … within engine compartments against headers…stuck to drive shafts…and then eaten on a very cold fall night in desperation.

Has this Twinkie been fondled thru the years as my friends can ham? LOL :grinpimp:

I hope you post pics soo all can see....Have you talked to the Enquirer? ;)

Oh it was intentional... we started the Test on May 11, 1987.

Hostess officially says the shelf life is 25 days, but there are rumors that all Twinkies were created in 1930 and warehoused, with Hostess simply pulling and shipping from this amassed stock of Twinkies.

Tony -
Let me know if you need something to wash that Hostess down.
As long as we are ahead of schedule at home should be able to make it.
I'll let Amy know.
James.
