Hi All - so I've been in build planning mode for quite a while and will eventually to do a retrospective build thread but for now nothing I'd add would be any different than what's already out there. I just share that since I tend to jump in/out of threads seemingly without purpose. But I digress... the real reason I'm posting is to get input and also to see if anyone has suspension parts lying around that might work for me.
I want a 2" - 3" lift while maintaining on road drive quality, and understand this will be a temporary solution so keeping upfront $$ and $$ lost (what I paid for shocks/springs vs what I can sell for used) to a minimum is a priority. I will be converting the front end to Tundra front end - I have the axles, lower As, and tie rod ends sitting here. So I can convert now and it won't be wasted effort or $$. Means I'm looking for Tundra front, LC rear setup. I'm planning to purchase aftermarket Tundra UCAs that will work for this and future setup so no loss there.
I'm using the OME Medium kit that Slee offers as baseline, costs around $1k. I'm also keeping tuned to Craigslist for used Tundra suspensions that might pop up for the front end (Atwalz scored recently on a pair of ICONs!) but then I'd have to try and match the rear or could they be different (for example OME rear and something different in the front)? I'm open to used components.
Whatever I get, I'd end up getting rid of it in 6 months to a year, there would be some resale value for a slightly used suspension, but application would be for Tundra/LC combo which most aren't running.
Then the plan is to install a 2.5 or 3.0 system from King through (@bjowett ).
Thanks for your time.
