Are the orange lenses (with the clear lens integrated on top) on a 75-84 FJ40's turn signal assembly supposed to operate as parking lights? The reason I ask is because I have 79 turn signal housings on my 67 and I have never had them wired to work as parking lights. I took one of the front lenses off the other day and noticed that the turn signal bulb had a single element with one wire powering it. So I pretty much need to know if the turn signal bulb also functioned as a parking light bulb from the factory before I pursue this any futher.
Thanks,
Jeremy

The top clear section and the outboard orange part of the lamp are the only sections that should be illuminated, and do not flash with the turn signal.

The large front face is the turn signal portion.
