This is similar to surf n turf we all know pismo Jim stop at # 10 , last year they put this on to carry on the tradition ... Dates are set for this years event...

Oceano Dunes, California. November 1-3
Pole 6 area

Anyone plan on going ?

The hudyhue crew will be there camping out on the beach!

Just wanted to see if your club was going to have anyone else in attendance at Turf-N-Surf this year? I'm loosely organizing the event, and was wondering if your club would be interested in manning a checkpoint on the Poker Run?

Who is planning on going I am going over Friday afternoon will arrive around 6pm. Plan on hanging out until Saturday evening and then head home.

haha i really wanna bring the tundra. since i redid the suspension on it. v8 is much better in the dunes. i need a camper shell on it as i like to sleep in the cab instead of a tent around this time of the year
 
In any one opinion would I be able to pull a trailer across the stream to get to the camping areas?
I have heard horror stories of rigs trying to get across the stream, and getting stuck.
My rig is set up for the street, and I unhook at the camp, then go wheeling.

Last year there was no stream, I doubt there will be any at this year either as there hasn't been any rain to speak of.
 
It is currently sprinkling here in SLO county. I'll keep you posted on if the stream breaks through or not. If you can coordinate with another cruiser to hook a strap to your bumper before you cross you should be fine.
For the record, our county is at an all time low for rainfall this year. Hasn't been this little rainfall since 1870!
 
i really wanna make this event but not sure how im gonna keep warm in a tent.
im guess most of you guys have RTT or sleeping in the cab.

been thinking of getting a heater buddy but unsure how safe they are in a tent

Hope everyone who's chiming in is going. Seth, did you ever finalize the Poker Run plans? If so, I'll volunteer to help with a checkpoint.
 
sounds good. i been trying to find a used camper shell for my tundra so i can sleep back there.

When you get into camp come find me and my rig. I'll go over setup times for saturdays poker run. Here is my rig "Bruiser"
