Hi all, I have a 2001 HDJ100R with a 4 speed auto. Recently I have been having an intermittent problem with very little power when I go to take off. I mainly noticed it when starting off up-hill. Once it gets to about 1200rpm it seems fine, and drives fine on the highway and around town. Only today I found out that in drive, or reverse with my foot on the brake it won't rev to over about 900rpm... In neutral it revs perfectly normal. The car has a brand new injector pump and new computer, no chip, blanked off EGR.... I took a video and posted it on YouTube of what happens when the foot is flat to the floor on a slight incline

All ideas are greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Drew

I'm not familiar with Toyota diesels, but I might start with checking the throttle position sensor.

If it has no problems starting after standing overnight, the most likely problem is the tank filter. Or the main filter - but I presume you have checked that. There's a inspection lid under the back seat - under the carpet.
