Years back I heard about Tufoil and decided to start using it. I work in a Laboratory and we had an instrument called a Timken Tester. The Idea is to add two litres of oil and spray it on a bearing for 10 minutes under a heavy load. ~ 35000 lbs/sqinch. Then you check out the metal block for wear. If I had some room left for pics I would show them. I feel that this stuff contributed to the longevity of the 3B. Still going strong. Its to bad that they stoped selling it at Can Tire. I just ordered 2 Gal online. If any one else has experiance with addatives I would like to hear it or some opposing views.

I have used Tufoil on most of my cars and trucks over the years. i have had increased fuel milage as well as a couple of very high mileage volvos with no failures. I was turned on to tufoil at a car show in Vermont 15 years ago and have used it since. Tufoil is a very interesting product, it is in the guinness book of World Records and is a small enough company that you can call their factory and actually speak to the owner inventor , Frank Reick. They also let you buy direct.

Tufoil for Me

What I find impressive is that the PTFE does not form a skin on the inside surface of the metal which could peal and clog the small oil delivery holes. I also tested Slick 50 (does nothing) and Duralube which woorks great but caused the bearing to rust soon after. To bad my company sold the Timken Tester. I could have tested some other products but for now it is Tufoil for me. How many posts do I need before I can post some more pictures?
