tub rebuild or not

step dad wants a new tub... minimum wage 15 year olds salary... any advice? needs new quarter panels, rear sill, drivers side rocker panel, and some interior metal work. rust is pretty dominant in these areas. thank you for any advice.

looks like the norm, if you want to do it cheap repair it. if you want to do it fast , replace it.

Many many threads on replacing these exact areas. most of these areas can be repaired with standard sheet metal (cheaply) if you have the right tools and are willing to learn.
 
Repair if you can doit your self it's not a hard job just finised mine tonight. From this

All shiny and new in 7 full days that includes outer sills windsheild, under where the wind shield fits and the bit in front of that, I'm just leaving the passenger floor for another time.
IT WAS actually 4 days but I got a bit carried away doing 18 hours a DAY:D
