Which brands do the sidewalls? I'd go for that.

Ironman 4X4 makes both fabric and screen sides for their awnings.

Ironman4x4 and Campinglab are two vendors from the top of my head that carry sidewalls, there maybe more. One can use a tarp but they tend to get bulky. I've experimented using a 6x20' tarp to start on one side, go up and over the awning, then down the other side for a three sided shelter. While this worked nicely, a 6x20 tarp is quite huge when space is premium.

I've also used sidewalls from a Coleman 10x10 ez up canopy in a pinch but the fit isn't as taut as the real thing. However, the Coleman sidewall materials are light weight and pack down to a very small size package.

When I inquired about the cost of Ironman4x4 sidewalls, they quoted me $400 + shipping.

Thankfully I did not need the awning yesterday because I had a hotel in Denver. It rained heavily almost the entire way from ABQ to DEN. I'm not so sure it would have worked with this much rain. It only took 9 hours with 3 short bathroom/gas stops.

Yellowstone and Grand Teton NP were cold and wet more days than they were dry and less cold. I'm really glad I had the awning. It got a lot of use. Here are some photos of the kids doing school work while I'm cooking dinner.

Now THERE is a way to make sure your kids enjoy camping!:lol:

They're so tired, they're falling asleep while doing homework!!

Pretty much. We made them do the Junior Ranger and both of the Young Scientist programs that Yellowstone offers. There was no shortage of whining and complaining.

We only had a few old codgers from the east coast tell us that they didn't think homeshcooling was legal and a few wondered why we weren't homeschooling at home.

LOL Marc! Nothing like doing homework in the rain while at Yellowstone!!

Those old folks haven't heard of "road schooling"?

Some of my best education was obtained outside the classroom.

The best field trip I ever went on during my public school days was to the Albuquerque Zoo. It was big enough that you could sneak away and not be under the "supervision" of your teacher for a good 3 hours.

My kids' field trips have included scores of plays at Popejoy (usually preceded by reading the book/play they were going to see), every museum in Albuquerque, lots of museums in other cities we've "vacationed" in, a whole bunch of national parks (Mesa Verde, Chaco, Bandelier, Salt Missions, Pecos, Aztec, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, El Malpais, Carlsbad, White Sands, ....) I hope someday they realize how good they had it. It's mostly just whining and complaining right now.
