Moot point, but having done Uwharrie you have more than enough already for all the easy and moderate trails with careful driving/spotting. Save your money for sliders as your next upgrade and it can open up some new trail options. Protect those mint rocker panels.
And potentially skid plates ;)

"Dent to match and bend to fit."

I still rock the OEM skid plate and undertrays. I've been under my truck a lot and don't see a need to change them at all. Seat time and pick your lines. 100 series is the best.
Still enjoying the super charger? Any regrets with it? I'm still sitting on the fence of sc my hundy at 400k miles or throw in my hat and get a 2hundy.

Lockers will take you where only a winch will save you. You don't need them until after you're fully infected with the illness.

Get some sliders, good recovery points/starter recovery kit, air down and don't wheel alone. Have fun.

This is worth repeating:

DON'T WHEEL ALONE

My truck is triple locked … once trails get gnarly enough to need front and rear lockers you are going to need lots it other stuff like frame sliders, skid plates, larger tires, bumpers front and rear etc … so you don’t tear the rest of the truck apart. It’s easy to sink thirty grand into these trucks to get them to perform only marginally better. Slippery slope … they will never be a rock crawler but I can follow a jeep rubicon or bronco anywhere.

Which is why my personal preference is to continue as a noncrawling hundyer.

Tires, sliders, and 2 inch lift and then eventually winch bumper (if you are running with others they will have winches that can help you. You can then learn what is needed and safe ways to operate a winch)

I'll probably do a front e-locker on my '99 since, no Atrac, I already limit where I go due to the 2 pinion diff, I do my own labor, and I need to open it anyways.

The cost difference between upgrading to a standard 4 pinion and a locker is not terrible so I make the excuse to throw one in.

The 80 is a fat a** pig, the Hundy is fatter and 2Hundy fatter yet 😂🤣

I did that and was completely satisfied with the results. Sometimes, I needed the front locker to climb up some Colorado trails.

Learn to drag your brakes.

If you can’t get over something again and again and again and need to, then consider an upgrade.

If you need triple lockers, I’d drive a solid axle. Now if you’re breaking factory front 3rd members then an upgrade could be advantageous.
